MAKING FRIENDS CAN BE STRESSFUL FOR CHILDREN

Some children, like adults, find it difficult to make new friends. Some are very outgoing, while others keep to themselves  only speaking to certain people or children they know when approached.   They fear being rejected or think that they won't get along well with others.  Children also feel that they should be cautious about making new acquaintances and not always trust other people or children of their own age. With the times being the way they are, children learn through family and the media not to trust strangers.  Sometimes this recommendation can cause a child to fear all, especially their peers.

BEATRICE gives children a different outlook on making friends.  They learn that having friends can be very helpful and encouraging at times and they learn to trust others. They learn to see the difference of someone who  only wants to be your friend to take advantage of you, or wants to be your true friend to help and stand by you.

BEATRICE, The Owl With No Friends, is story that will delight your youngster and teach them to look at friendship in a different light. As adults you will enjoy reading this book to your little one.
